Foundation Drain
If poor exterior grading around your home is the cause of your issues, we can excavate around the perimeter of your home to install a foundation drain and cover your foundation wall with a plastic backing called AquaDrain to ensure a proper seal. The drain is covered in aggregate and soil to help restore any disrupted landscaping, and any water that would’ve ended up in your basement will instead flow to a sump pit away from your home.
If possible, we can install an interior foundation drain instead to avoid the disruption to your lawn and landscaping. However, this option does not allow us to waterproof the exterior of your foundation wall to install the AquaDrain barrier. This would be installed all the way around the perimeter of your basement walls approximately 8–10” below the surface of your existing floor.
French Drains & Cut-off Drains
If a low spot in your landscaping or inadequate grading is the source of your water issues, we can handle that too! Installing a drain in the yard requires some excavation so we can install the necessary drainage pipes, and whenever possible, we try to make those drains run downhill. If relying on gravity to help water flow is impossible, we can even create an exterior pump pit to manage that water flow.
