You may need a push pier system for your Denver home if you need to lift your home back to its original position, you’re looking for a quick and effective installation that causes minimal disturbance, and if one of your highest priorities is restoring your property value.
Also known as resistance piers, jacked piles, or hydraulically driven piers, a push pier system is used to stabilize foundations that are sinking or settling. To accomplish this, the push piers system utilizes high-strength round steel tube sections and a load transfer bracket that are driven all the way to bedrock. This makes them the least risky solution when your soil conditions are unknown.
Going with a push pier system for your Denver area home is a highly advantageous choice. Our foundation repair specialists can It can install these systems year-round, regardless of the weather, both inside and outside the foundation. Additionally, installation of push piers doesn’t require heavy equipment. Push piers reach a greater depth than any other available option and can lift your foundation back to its original position. Once it’s done, push piers are virtually invisible.
Push Piers Installation Process
The Van Matre Construction, LLC push pier system makes damaged foundations stable permanently and can be installed in your foundation in just four steps:
Prepare the Footing
First, to install a push pier system in your Denver home, the footing must be exposed. This can be done either by excavating the soil surrounding it (for an outside installation) or by removing a section of your slab floor (for an inside installation).
A section of the foundation footing will be prepared for each pier so that it is directly supporting the wall. Then, a steel bracket is installed below the footing. This makes for the strongest installation.
Secure the Brackets
Second, a steel bracket is secured to the foundation footing at each location of the pier. The foundation bracket is installed before interlocking steel pier sections are driven through it. This enables the push pier system to leverage your Denver home’s structure.
Install the Piers
The next step is to put in the hollow steel piers, which are installed in sections that are connected to each other. Each extension is driven down, one by one, through the bracket until strong supporting soil is reached. The house’s weight is then transferred through the piers to the soil, which bears the load. This stabilizes the pier.
Stabilize and Restore the Foundation
After all the foundation piers are installed, we will determine whether the foundation should remain where it is at or be lifted back to its original position. Once we are done with the stabilization, we will repair the slab (for an inside installation) and completely replace the soil (for an outside installation). This will completely hide the repair work.
